Great Books

As a firm believer in the power of the mind, I feel positive books can play a beneficial part in learning about great tools to enhance thought patterns.

The truth is, the more I read – the more I realize that ALL humans have minds that produce thoughts that can pull you down occasionally and nobody escapes niggling thoughts and feelings … that in most cases only exist in the space between our ears.  (even me 🙂 … go figure)

If you are not one who likes to lose yourself between engrossing paper pages, then might I suggest listening to Audio Books?

I have been a member of Audible, (part of the Amazon family of companies), for years now and each and every month I receive a new credit (costs about $14.00 USD) enabling me to choose a new Audiobook for my growing library. 🙂

To say I feel like a kid at Christmas when I receive the email to remind me to choose a new book would be an understatement.

Each month,  I gleefully scan my “wishlist” to choose the next ‘must have’ read… and I have to say, more often than not, I fall in love with a new favourite.

While I will admit, I have chosen some ‘duds’ … or some that I just simply cannot connect with the narrator, luckily Audible has a “Great Read Guarantee” to allow you to choose a replacement book if you’re not satisfied with the first one.  No questions asked.

The point of this page is to start sharing my absolute faves… and promise only share the books that truly impact me and I feel can add value to the lives of anyone.

This months absolute fave is The Five Second Rule by Mel Robbins.  I loved, loved, LOVED it… to the point that I am actually having my 14 year old daughter listen to it.

If you’re not into ‘listening’ as I seem to have gone on about, it is also available in physical book form for your reading enjoyment!

If you feel like learning how to make some great changes, give it a whirl!  I highly recommend it!
