What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis has gained much popularity over the years as a viable, safe, natural, pleasant and effective modality to create positive change.

No longer is hypnosis viewed as being magical wizardry causing you to fall into a zombie-like trance and start barking like a dog or clucking like a chicken. (Thankfully as is certainly not the case).

The facts are, over the years we have learned and scientifically proven the awesome power of the human mind…. and how changing your thoughts really can change your outlook and have an incredibly positive effect on your life.

Hypnosis, in a nutshell, is a physically and mentally relaxing state that allows direct access to the subconscious mind; bypassing the ‘critical’ conscious mind to achieve a heightened state of suggestibility and concentration. 

When induced into a hypnotic state persons under hypnosis have an improved ability to focus intensely on a specific thought or memory, while blocking out other sources of distraction and mind chatter that occur when fully conscious.

Directly communicating positive suggestions to the subconscious mind can effectively eradicate existing negative programming and non-serving thought patterns that hinder you.  This positive rewiring is designed for the sole purpose of transformation to help you move forward and achieve your goals . (Regardless of what they may be).

As simple analogy is to think of your subconscious mind as a computer.  Existing old habits or negative thought patterns is like old software.  In essence, hypnosis “reformats” the computer to override the old software and installs new positive software instead!

This new “software” then over-rides old behaviors and habits as naturally as the old version did… but of course, far more positively!
